I hope you are as excited as I am about iceberg season! There have already been lots of sightings of this year’s bergs make their way southward.
Icebergs bless our horizons and shores in Spring and early Summer and can be spotted from many coastal towns in Newfoundland, as well as visited up close on various boat tours. With so many options it can be hard to figure out where to go, and what to do while exploring Newfoundland and Labrador.
If you’re keen to come and see some of this year’s glacial giants, the map below gives a great idea of some of the best places to go. For an interactive version check out the PDF here.
This one of the many examples of great resources you can find on the Tourism NL website. If you aren’t sure of where you want to go while travelling Newfoundland, or you simply want a list of restaurants and cafes in a region you know you’re heading, take a browse through their Trip Planner.
Not only does this site give great local suggestions of places to stay, eat, and tour with, but it also offers details trip plans of 2-15 days long.
This is an amazing resource for anyone thinking of visiting the province this year, or even someone who has lived here their whole life and is looking for ideas for a great stay-cation!
