Yesterday while Syd snuggled up in blankets sipping tea and munching on homemade bagels, I went off on a seaward adventure with a van full of Skerwinkelites.
Although the weather was far from perfect (getting progressively worse throughout the trip, and ultimately turning into snow), we had a wonderful time with the gang from Trinity Eco Tours exploring the bay in search of both bergs and sea creatures.
To our great pleasure we came across a rather handsome block of ice, that consented to having its photo taken from a wide range of angles.
We also came across a miniature minke whale, a herd of harbour porpoises, and a plethora of puffins.
Although these sea creatures turned out not to be the best models I’ve photographed, the lovely cliffs of the Trinity Bight easily made up for their lack of photogenicness (yes that is a word).
Although chilly, we spent several hours out in the bay, and returned home to a warm mug of cocoa!
